Missed Appointment Policy
Our goal is to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers, but our other patients as well. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments.

Appointment Cancellation
When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, please Notify MPS Mental Health as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you send a message at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.
How to Cancel Your Appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment, please send us a message through the patient portal between the hours of 7a.m. and 7p.m.. If necessary, you may email us at mpsmentalhealth@gmail.com . We will reply as soon as possible.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when an appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time. A no-show occurs when a patient misses an appointment without providing notice. Missed appointments and late cancellations disrupt care and limit access for other patients.
MPS Mental Health reserves the right to charge a missed appointment fee for late cancellations or no-shows. However, missed appointment fees are not charged to Medicaid patients, in accordance with program requirements, and fees may be waived at the practice’s discretion.
Repeated missed appointments may result in scheduling restrictions. A pattern of missed appointments, including a reasonable number of no-shows within a year or three consecutive no-shows, may lead to limitations on scheduling or termination of services. Patients will receive warning notifications before any scheduling restrictions are applied.
